Ultra-low energy house in south Cheshire.

Triangle have recently carried out the design and project management for the construction of an ultra-low energy house in south Cheshire for a private client. The 180m2 three-bedroom detached house, in a rural location, achieved an A rated Energy Performance Certificate, primarily by a “fabric first” approach; including underfloor heating, exacting air-tightness, whole house trickle ventilation, an air source heat pump and PV panels.

Triangle worked very closely with the client to establish their requirements, prepared designs that were affordable, secured all necessary permissions, prepared construction drawings and specifications, obtained competitive tenders and administered the terms of the building contract. Broadstaff Construction carried out the works to a very high standard.

Cheshire West and Chester Council commented: "This is one of the most energy efficient new houses we've seen in the county".

The Client said: " We have been living in our new house for several months now and would like to thank you and your team at Triangle Architects for your unending support throughout the project. Your vision in creating this wonderful house, your help in choosing a great builder along with the input and advice from you and your team has resulted in a beautiful, carefully planned and energy efficient house. We could not be happier with the outcome.”
